Twice a year (usually in July and December), Tesco kindly allow us to collect at local stores in South Belfast, for a weekend. We collect at the Newtownbreda Tesco and the Lisburn Road Tesco.

This involves giving out shopping lists to the Tesco shoppers, who are encouraged to get a little extra while doing their shopping and then donate this to our foodbank.

This is a great opportunity to build up our stock, and we usually receive donations of 5 or 6 tonnes of food.

As you can imagine this takes a small army of volunteers and a lot of organisation. So we need all the help we can get.

If you would be interested in helping at these one off events, please get in touch and we will provide you with details closer to the time.

Thank You !

South Belfast foodbank has been successfully supporting local people for over six months. However we have been so successful that we have had to move to a larger premises to provide a suitable warehouse for our food. And as a result our outgoings have increased significantly.

We have been blessed by support from many churches, organisations and individuals over the months and we are very grateful for this. However if we are to continue as a sustainable operation we will need regular and reliable funding.

This is where you can help us!

We are looking for individuals or organisations to agree to support us regularly through monthly donations. Whatever you can donate no matter how small it will be much appreciated. If you think you can help please email us, indicating that you want to know more about how you can support us and we will provide you with the details.
